Characters came out of the woodwork to breathe even more life into the series. This whole world began to grow bigger, sexier, more dangerous, and opportunistic. That was Noel’s story, but as I wrote it, it evolved into something more. I only had the idea that I wanted to see the hero of the people, a rebel, get captured by his enemy and turned into the thing he hated most of all.
